Google adds animated faces to Gemini AI for more human interactions
Google has introduced a significant update to its Gemini 3.8 Live platform, featuring a new capability known as Live Avatar. This technology provides users with an animated digital persona that reacts during real-time discussions through synchronized lip movements and various facial expressions. Currently, this visual interface is exclusively accessible to Gemini Enterprise subscribers. The system supports 97 different languages and maintains consistent video quality and visual accuracy regardless of the language being spoken, as demonstrated in demonstrations involving English and Japanese.
This advancement represents a shift toward more human-centric artificial intelligence interfaces. By adding a visual component to verbal interactions, Google is moving beyond text and audio-only models toward immersive digital entities. For the corporate sector, these developments may eventually necessitate adjustments to internal workflows, particularly regarding how organizations manage, distribute, or document financial tasks such as tax reporting and invoicing.
