Huawei Cloud launches new AI tools to help businesses build smarter systems
During the HUAWEI CONNECT 2026 event in Shanghai, Huawei Cloud CEO Dr. Peter Zhou announced the global release of its AI Cluster Service (AICS). This initiative aims to strengthen cloud-based silicon foundations to support agentic AI. The company also introduced its Agentic Model as a Service (MaaS) platform to scale model capabilities. Currently, the AgentArts enterprise platform supports more than 100 companies, while the Industry AI Foundry has deployed over 1,000 projects and manages more than 1,000 industry assets. This foundry has expanded to include specific zones for AI hardware and smart government applications.
These developments represent a strategic shift toward building an open, agentic cloud ecosystem. For businesses, this evolution necessitates a closer look at operational risks, including service reliability, safety protocols, and cost management. Furthermore, as these technologies advance, organizations must evaluate how such infrastructure changes might influence their existing regulatory and compliance obligations.
