Kenyan digital bank Cloud9 reaches one million dollars in total funding
Kenyan digital banking startup Cloud9 has obtained a new investment from the fintech accelerator Alliance. This latest capital injection brings the company's cumulative funding to a total of $1 million. Founded by Tesh Mbaabu and Mesongo Sibuti, the neobank focuses on providing borderless banking services and facilitating cross-border transactions for businesses and consumers across Africa.
This development marks a significant step for the founders, who previously led MarketForce and the AI-driven automation venture Chpter. As Cloud9 expands its financial technology footprint, corporate finance departments should prioritize evaluating regulatory compliance, potential fraud vulnerabilities, and technical integration requirements. Ensuring that system connectivity remains stable during growth is essential to maintaining a seamless experience for the bank's expanding customer base.
