The IEEE recently published its 2030 Technology Megatrends Report, highlighting significant shifts in the global technological landscape. According to the findings, artificial intelligence is increasingly integrated into physical systems, energy, and infrastructure. A key prediction suggests that by 2028, advancements in AI will enable the frequent application of gene therapy and genetic engineering to combat various illnesses. To compile this data, 166 specialists from 38 nations across six continents identified 30 specific technologies categorized into five major megatrends: health, space, energy, AI, and physical AI.

These developments signal a profound transformation in how industries operate and how daily life functions. Because AI serves as a foundational element for many of these emerging breakthroughs, organizations must prepare for evolving regulatory and compliance landscapes.
